Mary Brookes, daughter of Dudley BROOKES of Charlotte CO., VA, married William HAMLETT, Jr. of Halifax Co., VA. and ,as a widow, she married James ELMORE of Charlotte Co., VA, in 1810 as his second wife. Elmore researchers tell me that Mary Hamlett had at least two children: Nancy M. HAMLETT who married Peter MASON 30 July 1813 and Susanna R. who married Robert DOAK 7 Jan 1817...both in Jessamine Co., KY. Wish to contact researchers/ descendants of these families.
