Linda.... I have researched my indirect grandparents and have documented proof of a number of Bryans being such..
My grandfather was John David Blackmon Stone, the son of Neal A. Stone and Nannie Catherine Wicker-Stone. She was the daughter of David Warren Wicker and Susannah Blackmon-Wicker. Susannah was the daughter of John Blackmon and Susan Gunter-Blackmon. John Blackmon was the son of Col. William Blackmon and hhis second wife, Elizabeth Bryan-Sasser-Blackmon. Elizabeth was the daughter of William Bryan and Elizabeth Smith-Bryan of Johnston County. William was the son of Needham Bryan Sr., and Anne Rambeau of Snowfield Plantation I beleive that was in Bertie County, NC.,. Elizabeth Smith was the daughter of John Smith Sr., founder and owner of Smith's Ferry in Johnston Co., NC.,. Needham Bryan Sr., was the son of another William Bryan who was the son of John Bryan, brother of Morgan Bryan. Their parents were William Smith Bryan and
Catherne Morgan. His father was Sir Francis Bryan II. Sir Francis Bryan II's father was Sir Francis Bryan I a.k.a. "The Vicar of Hell". His parents were Lady Baroness Margaret Bourchier-Bryan and her husband Sir Thomas Bryan II. Lady Margaret's father was Sir Humphrey Bourchier. Sir Humphrey Bourchier's parents were Sir William Bourchier and Lady Anne Plantagenet. She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Plantagenet, Duke of Eu, son of King Edward Plantagenet III, of England. This line continues back to William the Conqueror King of England, Duke of Normandy. The Bryan line extends back through the English line of the Bryans into the French line of the de Bryan's to Peppe
the Short.... have you any knowledge of the Bryan family from John and Morgan Bryan. I know Morgan and his wife had a son named Joseph Bryan who was the father of Rebecca and Martha Bryan-Boone. Rebecca married frontiersman Daniel Boone and Martha married Frank Boone I beleive his name to be and James Bryan their brother married Daniel and Frank Boone's sister. Please advise me of what you do know.
