Lloyd, I did find these two records for James and Mary Meeks Millner McEndree/McIntree: The Registers of North Farnham Parish, 1663 - 1814 and Lunenburg Parish, 1783 - 1800, Richmond County, Virginia, page 123 B. McIndree, Dorothy daughter of James and Mary McIndree, 3 December 1749. and The Registers of North Farnham Parish, 1663 - 1814 and Lunenburg Parish, 1783 - 1800, Richmond County, Virginia, page 124 B. MCKINDREE, CATY daughter of James and Mary McKindree, 29 October 1753 These appear later than the Lucy you mention, and I believe James Sr. was likely married prior to Mary Meeks Millner, may have had a son James, as records in the Vestry Book of Antrim Parish, Halifax County, Virginia show: James McIndree is listed the Vestry Book of Antrim Parish Halifax County, Virginia 1752-1817 on the following pages: 46, 53, 54, 57, 74, 78 Transcribed by Marian Dodson Chiarito The entry on page 74 is dated 15 May 1763. The last entry on page 78 is dated 28 November 1765. This may be a son, as James estate sale appears dated 10 September 1764 above...... "Hezekiah Powell's insolvants which was to be paid by James McKendree". Of interest are the names of Lucy's children, James, Wiliam, Nancy, Joshua, Elizabeth & John. Although not uncommon names, they all appear in the line for my ancestor Travis(Traverse) Tune of Halifax, Va. who married a Frances, maiden name unknown. Do you have more information on James McEndree/McIndree/McKendree? I have also read this is a variation of the surname McHenry. I am curious as to whether my Frances may have been a daughter of James McEndree, Sr. She was likely born circa 1740-1750 which seems to fit the timeline for a possible first marriage of James.
