My Black (surname) was living close to the Turners and Rogers.
Abraham left Sarah with 8 daughters. He died at age 36. I have tried to find the parents of my Albert George Rogers born in 1812 thru the Turners and Rogers in N. C. No luck so far. I am trying to find the parents of Henderson Black who was born in 1806 in N. C. I know Lucy Gill Black raised him, brought him to Tn and Ky. where he died an old man. She deeded him land, but it says as a gift. Her husband Robert Black of Persons N. C. died in 1802. I found a list of their children and Henderson was not one of them. I do not know if Henderson was a nephew, neighbors child, etc. I do not think Lucy had him out of wedlock. I have wills back 10 generations and discovered Henderson was not Robert's child. Robert's father George Black had a daughter named Sarah, but was not the one who married Abraham. I am stuck in 1812 in the Rogers line and 1806 in the Black line. Have done real well from 1806 and 1812 until now.
Thanks
Geneva Rogers Hill
