"County Line Baptist Church Rebuilt Near Site of First Church"
(This is another in a series of historical sketches on County Line Baptist Church written by Dr. Aubrey M. Keesee, Director of Instruction for Appomattox and Bucking ham County Schools.--Editor's Note).
The County Line congregation continued to use this building until 1882. This present structure was erected nearby and the old brick structure torn down.
Church meeting held at Sandy Creek Old Meeting House August 26, 1786.
The church being informed of the desires of Brother DODSON, pastor of the said church, and making an inquiry whether they could raise a larger bounty toward his support. The answer of the church was no. A query was brought in whether they should continue to hold Brother Dodson as a pastor of the church or give him up to the Lord and the freedom of his mind. Answer, give him up.
Church Meeting at the Arbor on the County Line, July 21st, 1787.
The business of the day after divine service was ended. First, to inquire whether Brother Dodson continued to serve us as a minister. Answer, yes. Secondly, Brother Joseph Morrison and Lewis Haley made recantations of their transgressions and were restored to fellowship. Thirdly, the church continued their call to Brother Shaw and Brother William Ryborn to the office of deacons. Secondly, to receive Brother William Stell(sic) and Samuel Motley and Cyrus into the church by the ordinance of baptism. Thirdly, Brother David Ellington made a recantation of his transgression and restored to fellowship.

Church Meeting held at County Line Meeting House July 25: Brothers Beverley Barksdale and James Gray called and put forward to the keeping of Godís house in order as also Ambrose Haley and Thomas Shaw called and put forward to the work of exhortation.
Church Meeting Saturday, July 26, 1788:
The church sitting in order. Mary Wilson offered for fellowship and not received. The grief of Mitty Haley was brought before the church in form of query whether she had been excommunicated and dealth with according to gospel order.
Church Meeting held at County Line Meeting House August 23, 1788:
This being the day appointed by the brethren of the sister churches to obtain our approbation to their proceedings at a conference held at Millstone meeting House where they agreed to raise a gift in the sum of money for the support and maintenance of Brother Dodson as a minister, without our being present or having a voice in it. The messengers accordingly met, and after the matter being debated it was concluded that as they had proceeded without the consulting of us, that we would not concur with them in what they had done, neither be bound by their proceedings. The second Sunday in November 1788, a conference is appointed to be held at Millstone Meeting House.
The church appoints Brother Preston to summon Brother Dodson to appear before the church at Sandy Creek Old Meeting House on Friday the eighth of September next. The church further appoints Brother Preston to act as Clerk for the church in al cases as far as convenient. The church further appoints Brother Womack, Brother Lovelace and Brother Ryborn to agree with the workmen who shall undertake to build the intended meeting house.
Church Meeting held Friday, September 8, 1786.
After calling on the Lord for his blessings, the business of the day was as follows:
First, the church concluded to hold Brother William Dodson, their minister, for the ensuing year, which he consents to. Second, the church enacts that part of the act passed at the chapel on April 16, 1785, touching paying Brother Dodson quarterly be repealed as to this church. And further be it enacted that this church make up their bounty for Brother Dodson once a year, and that as near the end thereof as convenient.
At a Church Meeting held at Sandy Creek April 9 1787:
The business of the day after sermon was as follows: First, Brother Lewis Haley laid under censure for drunkenness. Also Brother Morrison under censure of the church. Secondly, Brother Thomas Jeffries made a recantation of his transgressions and was restored to fellowship. Resolved, that the grief between Brother Dodson and Brother Lovelace trouching eldership separate between a minister and a deacon be settled by the church.

Church meeting at Sister Martinís spring, June 10, 1787:
After sermon was ended, a query was brought to know who of Sandy Creek was willing to choose Brother Dodson for their minister.
