Ursula Carter married Jesse Zimmerman Feb. 5 1927(Halifax marriage book 6 page 38) he was 23 and she was 19. Her parents were Robert Lee Carter and Jessie Walker. His parents were Eddie Boswell Zimmerman and Mollie Long. His occupation was farmer and R.W. Bagwell performed the marriage ceremony. I think that Robert Carter and Jessie Walker must have married in North Carolina(Person Co.) as their marriage is not listed in Halifax. They lived in Person Co. NC. Ursula`s grandfather James Carter lived and married in Halifax Co. VA -he married Nancy Powell, daughter of Mastin and Mary Powell. I`m not related to these people, I just did a lookup for you while I was at the courthouse.......Jack
