I was able to purchase a wonderful book titled "Property Lines from an Old Survey Book: Halifax County, Virginia-1741 to 1901" from the VA-NC Piedmont Genealogical Society, P.O.Box 2272, Danville, VA 24541. It was written by Roger C. Dodson and published in 1998. It was a massive project wherein he researched original surveys and matched their metes and bounds, plotting the land ownership areas with current topographical maps. He has also written "Property lines from the Old Survey Books, Pittsylvania County, Virginia." He lives in Ringgold, VA.

My particular interest was to property for Owen, Stewart, Bates, and Robertsons.
