Drury Sims 1740-1760
Posted by: Robert Sims Date: February 13, 2000 at 14:34:12
  of 1495

Robert Sims moved to Halifax Co. having been born in Hanover or James City. He had a son named Drury who became a Baptist while in or just after leaving Halifax Co.To avoid the British at Alamance this family moved into NC and then immediately to Laurens SC. Drury served in the Army in VA perhaps about the time of the Battle of Alamance.

Especially I am interested in diaries and church records or historical accounts that may have Drury and his brothers William Claiborne, Micajah or their father Robert. One Drury was a pastor in the Haw River church movement that went from the Dan River VA to SC. any suggestions or knowledge of this family would be appreciated.
