Don't know if this is the same book from which the lookup offer was made, but this is something I saw at the University library in Lexington KY last year:

Halifax Marriages by Catherine LIndsay Knorr [reprint] --
13 Jan 1783 Richard Hooper to Elizabeth Word, married by Rev. Nathaniel Hall. Minister's Returns, page 10.

This the only Hooper in Mrs. Knorr's transcription. She printed her volume in 1957, from her work with the actual bonds and records. She seemed quite thorough in her work.

For us Hooper researchers, it is interesting that this Rev. Nathaniel Hall was Baptist who is on the 1785 VA tax rolls but who moved to Pendleton District Sc about 1785, wrote a will in Pendleton District in 1793 with the probate beginning in 1797. This makes me wonder whether Rev. Hall continued to minister to Richard Hooper and his siblings when they passed through the same area of SC.
