I had noticed some folks seeking information on the Halifax County, VA area, and after replying to an earlier message I realized that there is one source in print that may be found through an intra-library exchange. George Waldrop (a local college student who many years ago was working on a dissertation) and the late Kenneth Cook (a local gentleman who was devoted to the preservation of the colorful history of our small tobacco based county) collaborated on a collection of books that included many of the local burial plots including both private family, churches and the city graveyards. While it is fairly comprehensive for the northern sections of the county, they never did get quite all of them on the southern portions. I think that it may be an invaluble resource for those needing this type of information. There are copies of the various volumes in the South Boston Public Library.
