I would appreciate knowing the date of death of Jones Williams that you mentioned. You may see a post (Williams Surname on Gen Forum)to your query regarding the will of Benjamin Williams who died in 1784 and my thoughts about his son William being my ancestor (b. 1757 Brunswick Co, VA - died 1834 Rutherford Co, NC). It occurs to me that the eight years that passed between the writing of Benjamin's will (1776) and death (1784) may have meant a long illness and the loss of some of the real and personal estate -- the oddity of the executors refusing their office, creating the need for Letters of Administration caused my thinking on this, but I could be in error. Do you have any further information on the Estate Administration? Thanks for whatever help you can offer.
