I am trying to locate where my great great grandfather, Harvey McCoy, he was born in Virginia & the identity of his parents/siblings.

We know that Harvey was born in Virginia on December 23, 1813. We don't know where in Virginia or who his parents were. His Parents were also born in Virginia, according to the Apponoose county, Iowa 1880 census, it did not identify them.
Their idenity & location in Virginia is what we seek, along with the names of Harvey's siblings.
He married Louisa Crist on October 03, 1842, in Perry County, Indiana. Thney moved to Appanoose County, Iowa, to raise their family. Harvey had some education, He was a school teacher. Louisa's parents were John Crist & Nancy Woodcock, Crist.
Harvey died on December 17, 1895, in Appanoose County, Iowa & is buried in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Cemetery, Monroe County, Iowa.
They had some strange names for some of their children, I wonder if it show up in their ancestorial line any where.

Names were:
1.- Matthias McCoy, born July 10, 1843, in Perry Co. , Indiana, Killed in action in Civil War Battle at Mark's Mills, Arkansas.%
