There is a little cemetery located on the east side of the Sky Line Drive on route 33. Coming from Elkton on Route 33, you go up and over the mountain, past the entrance onto the Sky Line Drive. On the way down the opposite side of the mountain on the Right side of the road is a little cemetery. There is also the debris from a burned down church/home. In this cemetery there are some markers, grave stones. My gg grandmother has a small marker in this cemetery. It is a small upright granite marker that reads: IDA ALICE McDANIEL June 12, 1871 July 26, 1966 Beside her stone, lying on the ground, is a field marker that has a name scratched on it. It looks like the last name is McDaniel and also has Dec 1901 on it as well, or at least appears to be. There is another upright stone a short distance from this stone with this inscription: McDANIEL JOHN W. ARMITTA F. 1875-1902 1878-1959 I am interested in the field marker beside my gg grandmother's stone. I am hoping it is her husband, William T. McDaniel who died around 1901. I have been looking for him forever. I would like to know why he died at such an early age and any other information any one would have regarding this family. Does anyone know the name of this cemetery or the church that once was there and who would have access to the records? I would be eternally greatful for any information anyone can share. Thank you
