Thanks for the followup. I believe now that Eli was the son of James Anderson and Polly (Bonham) Anderson because in the 1850 Grayson Census I found the following:

Family #641
James Anderson 48 b. VA
Polly Anderson 50
Eliza 18
John 19
Eli 16 (the age matches)
Jane 14
Enoch 1

Living next door:
William Bonham age 82
Elizabeth age 77 (I believe these are Polly's parents)

I found Wiley and Sarah Anderson in the 1850 Tazewell Co. census per following:
Wiley Anderson age 20 b. VA
Sarah age 17 b. NC
They were living next door to her aunt and uncle.

1860 Lee Co. VA census
Anderson, Wiley 30 b. Grayson
Sarah 27 b. Ashe
Boyd 10 b. Grayson
Mary 9 b. Grayson (My line)
Richard 4 b. Grayson
Harvy 2 b. Grayson
Kissia 1/12
Living with them:
Stamper, Richard 53 b. Ashe Blacksmith
Mary age 52 b. Ashe

Next door;
Anderson, Eli age 25 b. Hawkins Co., TN
Margaret 20 b. Ashe
Wiley age 2 b. Ashe
Mary J. 1/12 b. Lee Co

By 1870 they were living in Jessamine Co, KY and by 1880 Wiley and Sarah had moved to Ellis Co., TX all except my ggrandmother, Mary, who married Mike Simpson of Garrard Co,KY. Eli and Margaret and her parents, the Stampers, also stayed in KY.

My ggrandmother claims that they were run out or burnt out of VA during or shortly after the Civil War. They came into KY thru the Cumberland Gap on horseback. This story was passed down in the Stamper line who came into KY at same time.

Can you give me the list of children for Harvey and Keziah Anderson? My email is If there is any information I can give you let me know.

Thanks again
