I was able to contact a sister who lives in the VA/TN area re: the story you mentioned, and she has never heard it either. She did confirm to me that my Grandmother said the Roberts were not big on talking about their ancestrial line--at least not our Roberts. Most of the people that I could talk to have already passed away.

I did have a question for you, since I have been reading your questions to Harold. 1) Was Patrick F. born in Grayson Co.?
How about Elizabeth, his mother? 2) Have you ever heard which nationality this line of Roberts came from? 3) When did Delilah move to Washington Co.?

I read an interesting excerpt from a book recently that stated the Roberts were traditionally Cherokee (which is what I've always been told). Have you ever heard this in your family?
