Mr. Kurtz, I am researching William D. Carrico b abt Jan, 1813 in VA and married Catherine Cooper abt 1843. The first record I have of him is in the 1850 Grayson Co. census along with children Martin J. b 9 Sept, 1845, Rachel b abt. 1848, and Charlotte b abt. 1849. Other children born in Grayson Co. were Mary Jane b abt. 1851, Julia Ann (July)b 19 May, 1854, Sarah Luticia b 5 May, 1856, Fielding A. b 6 Oct, 1859.This family migrated to Wise Co., VA between the time Fielding was born in 1859 and when the 1860 census was taken as they are listed there. In the will book of Grayson Co, book 3, page 414, my William D. was a witness to the Reverend William Carrico's will. I have been told that William D. might be the son of Abel, the son of Reverend William but cannot find any proof. Your offer to help is greatly appreciated. Helen Quillen
