Burchells from 1860s-1870s- served in Civil War

I am seeking information concerning the family of a William James and Eliza or Louisa Burchell that was in the Grayson County area in the 1860s and 1870s. They had a son named Granville Burchell born in 1868 and possibly a son named Joseph, born about 1865 in Grayson County. I saw on the Grayson County homepage on I believe the New River Notes of a William Burchell who fought in the Civil War. Does anyone know if this might perhaps be the same Burchell. I do not knoe if this will be of help or not, but there is a rumor that either William or his wife might have been Cherokee or "Black Irish." Any information would be greatly appreciated.
