located a Lansdown school
Lansdown School (historical) VA Smyth County
school at 364541N 0813352W on USGS Marion Map
but this school is in Smyth County not Grayson County so
it may not be the one you are looking for.
You can go to
http://mapping.usgs.gov:8888/gnis/owa/GetDetail?tab=Y&id=1500486
for a map of the location of this school.
You can go to
http://mapping.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html
to try other searches for your school if it is still standing since these maps will only show current building/locations.

good luck
