Over the yrs., have missed this forum and not been here much, but the info I have, said he was a William Osborne, his father was a "Tine" Osborne and his mother was a Betsy TYLER of Ashe Co., NC. Wm. Osborne supposely died abt. 1794, as Charity md. Wm. TRENT in 1796, and James is known, in TN as first a James Osborne, then a James Burton and later a James TRENT.... WE just call him James B.O. Trent now!
