I have not found anything on the POOR HOUSE in Oldtown, Grayson County, VA. No one seems to want to give out info. A cousin told me her niece went to Independence, VA and found some old papers in the basement and it listed things they took with them when they went to the POOR HOUSE, such as skillets, pots and pans, etc. I live in Florida and have not been able to check it out yet. Thanks so much for your reply. I will post when I find any thing and you can get in touch and we will go from there.
