Hello. I am looking for information on my great great grandma, Nancy Belle Morris. She first married my great great granddad James (Jim) Henry Thompson, son of Hezekiah Thompson and Elizabeth? Woodward. When James Henry Thompson died, she married Shannon Carr. I believe they lived on Poplar Hill farm, and my dad told me that the morris's owned the farm at one point. Her 1900 and 1920 Census records record her as Bell Thompson in 1900, and Bell Morris in 1920. I believe her father was from Virginia, and her mother was from Missouri. As a related note, i am also searching for morris ancestors who fought in the civil war. The family story was that there was an uncle that fought for both sides during the war. My cousin, Patricia Jacobs said that she learned from the historical society in Giles County that they were actually 2 morris brothers that fought on different sides. I was wondering if anyone knew this information on who they were. I really have a lot of questions, and i hope that someone can help me.
