Desperately seeking any information on Barbara Jean Stafford, born June 14, 1939 in Giles County, Virginia. Anyone who has Stafford connections, heads-up!

Does anyone know of a Richard Alvin Andrews born 1937 in Bland County, Virginia? He married Barbara Jean Stafford. She was born June 14, 1939 in Giles County, Virginia. Richard was working at Mountain Lake Resort and Motel in 1958 when his son John Andrews was born August 21st 1958 in
Mount Airy, North Carolina. Richard's son is looking for him. Richard and Barbara were married but divorced a month after John was born. John has never known his father and is looking for him. If this sounds familiar to anyone please reply. John also needs to know his Andrews Ancestry.

As it happens, I am a second cousin, once removed, from the "John Andrews" mentioned above. I have information about his father, a step-mother and half-siblings that he would know nothing about, and a great deal of information about his ancestry. I've tracked down the genealogist who posted the message above, but she no longer does research and does not remember the query. Nor does she have contact info on John Andrews anymore.
I've learned from the Surry County, NC Register of Deeds that there is, indeed, a birth certificate for John ANTHONY Andrews with the parents Richard Alvin Andrews and Barbara Jean Stafford. Richard Alvin died a few years ago and I'm trying to firm up some sketchy lines of communication with that branch of my family. So the only hope of locating John would appear to be through his mother, Barbara Jean.
Now you know the whole story.
And of course, if you are related or researching the ANDREWS clan of Giles County, I'm eager to hear from you too!
