Genealogy researching my 5th.-Great-Grandfather JAMES SHORT born Oct. 7,1756 in Virginia. and died on Dec. 12,1836 and is buried at the Short Cemetery on Bogus Rd. in Washington Court House,Union Twp. Fayette County,Ohio U.S.A. he May have been born in Federick County,Virginia.he was a veteran of the American Revolutionary War. his oldest daughter ANNA (SHORT) ROGERS married her husband JAMES ROGERS on March 25th,1800 in Federick County,Virginia.James moved his family west from Virginia on to Mercer County,Kentucky, and then on North to settle and die in Union Twp.
