BOEHME - City Directory, Census, BMD, Burial Records?

I have been trying to locate a family which resided in Frederick County VA (near Berryville?) and I am having very little luck thus far on Ancestry. I was hoping to talk with folks who have researched Frederick County to see what resources might be available thru other sources and also to find out if any of you have come across this family in your research.

Based on several documents that were passed to me from a family member, Otto E. BOEHME (born Germany) and his wife Lavinia (or, Livonia; probably born in VA or PA) resided in Frederick County. Land records show that they purchased land in the area and then sold a parcel to the local schools:

1. This deed dated February 9, 1886 transfers land from W.C. Skinner (of Chambersburg Pennsylvania) and Alice R. Skinner to Otto E. Boehme (of Frederick County, Virginia). The land was located about 3 miles from Winchester, Virginia and was formerly known as the Rhutroff Distillery property, on both sides of the Greenwood road.

2. This deed dated August 11, 1887 transfers land from Otto E. Boehme and his wife Lavinia to the trustees of the Public Schools of Shawnee District in Frederick County, Virginia. The property was located near Eddys Mills.

3. This deed dated August 8, 1888 transfers land from Otto E. Boehme and his wife Livonia to the trustees of the Public Schools of Shawnee District in Frederick County, Virginia. The property ran along the public road leading from Eddys Mills to the Berryville Turnpike.

According to the family, they had a son (name unknown) and a daughter Pauline (or, Paulina) born about 1885. Apparently, the mother Lavinia (or, Livonia) died when Pauline was about 14. Otto remarried a woman and resettled the family in Philadelphia, PA. Otto died not long after leaving the children with their step-mother. Apparently the situation was not good -- she refused to pay for the son's college and he may have left for California where he died in an accident. Pauline lived with the step-mother for a bit until the minister placed her with another family (apparently in Philly).

I have seen BOEHME ("Beam") with alternate spellings.

I was hoping to find a City Directory or Census record, birth, marriage or death record... or perhaps a church or cemetery record to help shed light on this family!

I appreciate any assistance you might be able to offer!
