My great-grandfather is George Washington Quincy Adams. His DOB is 6/12/1857 and he was born in Winchester, VA.
His mother is Suzanah Adams. Her maiden name was Witmyer and her DOB was 11/1829 and she was born in PA. I do not know George’s father’s name. Suzanah Divorced her husband, Adams, and was remarried to August Meyer on 1868. We were told George attended a Catholic Brother’s School and he left home when he was 14 years old.
I am trying to find any information I can on George such as a birth certificate hoping this will provide the name of his father. I would also like to determine where in PA his mother came from.
Any information you can provide guiding me to where I can research this information would be greatly appreciated.
