I am tracking a Peter Oates that Married
Margret Malinda (Linny)Saville a daughter of Isaac and Delila Asbury Saville. In the Census where a Lacy A. Saville appears as a young child of I. & D. Saville, Peter Oates is living as a single man with his mother Mary Oates and a brother. In the next Census Peter Oates is married to M.M. and has several children including a Lacy A. Oates (about 13y) listed as their daughter. Either Lacy A. was born to Peter and Malinda 3 years prior to their marriage, or she is Malinda's younger sister now living with them.
I received a list of the Savilles that indicates that Lacy is Peters kid and marries a LEAR, but have no death date and anysuch marriage must have occurred outside Hardy County. Any Lears out there with input?
Any info helpful.
