Dear Brenda,

I have looked into this line extensively but the information on it is so sketchy (on the Dunn side) that it is hard to draw any conclusions. I am descended from a John Fleming Beauregard Dunn who was born in Franklin County, Virginia in April 1861. His father was said to be an Alexander Dunn, who married Nancy Ann Gaulding. It seems very possible that this line descended from Alexander Dunn and Nancy Finney but I have yet to find the evidence.
Alexander Dunn, husband to Nancy Gaulding, seems to have had a brother Matthew, who married Nancy's sister.
I have also gone into the Finney line which is extremely well documented, going all the way to William the Conqueror and beyond.
I would enjoy hearing from you to compare notes.

All best wishes,

                            Trace Dunn
