I am interested in knowing if you have ever seen Curtis Lacy (?b1803-6 Culpepper Co.VA d.@1890 Roanoke,VA) "listed" as son of John Lacy and Salley Brown? His 1st marriage 1828 Bedford Co.VA Elizabeth Horn & 2nd 1836 Rebecca Kessler dau. of Christain Kessler Botetourt Co.VA (Roanoke formed from Botetourt & Montgomery counties 1838). Curtis lived near Salley Lacy in Bedford Co. & named one son William Thomas Lacy (1839-1864)who later died in Civil War. Another son named James Wingfield Lacy (1848-1866). One daughter named Catherine Lacy (1843-1866). Only 2 daughters survived - my great-grandmother Nancy Ann Lacy (1846-1921)who m. John Otey Hogan 1869 & Mary Elizabeth Lacy (1843-1917)who m.John Henry Garnand 1861. Curtis Lacy lived close to Bedford & Franklin borders. I appreciate any inform. you can share.
