Thanks for the follow up. I had to do an extensive research of the Estes families of Lunenburg and Franklin Co VA and Madison Co KY to determine who raised my Joshua Townsend b. 1761, son of Mary (Stone) Townsend-Estes. What a job! Turned out it was Richard, son of Elisha d. 1782 Henry (now Franklin Co VA). So much strange misinformation was floating around. Richard seems to have been married before he married Mary c1766, and I am still not confident that he is the Richard in Madison Co KY in the 1790s (maybe it is a son by former marriage), nor do I know when and where Mary and Richard died.

Yes, I have examined the book of the Clay Co Estes. If you have access to a large library you might be interested in examining two books "And Then There Were Three Thousand" and "Jacob Miller Our Immigrant and More" by Donna Hull. Joshua Townsend's sister, Priscilla Estes, married 1788 the younger Jacob Miller in Madison Co KY, so primarily these books include descendants of Priscilla.

Thanks so much for contacting me.
Pat
