I may be able to help a little, but I don't have a lot of information. I was raised next door to James Frank Murphy. He was around the age of my own parents, maybe a little older. I don't remember his wife. I can do a look up at the courthouse to find her name. I do know that Frank's sister Clara, married Winton Willard, and Clara is living. I think in a nursing home at this time. Sallie Ann married Trobie Chitwood and only recently passed away. Elsie married Will Holley and she recently passed away also. I have no information on Hallie. I do have dates of marriage you may be able to use on Frank's ancestors.
William Murphy married Sophia Angle, Dec. 22, 1836.
Son, Pleasant married first, at age 31 to Elizabeth Wray on Dec 31, 1868. Married second, at age 48, to Lucy Chitwood, daughter of Skelton & Ony Chitwood, age 33, on Mar, 18, 1886.
James A. Murphy, son of Pleasant and Elizabeth(Bettie), married at age 23 to Nancy Elizabeth Chitwood on Mar 14, 1897.
I also have James W. Murphy, son of William and Sophia, age 20 married on Dec 13, 1860 to Nancy M. Altick, daughter of Henry and Catharine Altick.
James Frank Murphy, (called Frank by everyone) had a son by the name of James (Jimmy) Murphy. He married Madeline LaPrade (he was her second marriage). She passed away. Buried at Sandy Ridge I think, born 5/21/1924 died 8/25/1993.
Jimmy Murphy lives in Wirtz, Virginia. If you would like to e-mail me, I would be happy to look up his address and number for you.
Hope this helps.
Linda
