Since you did not list the ages in the Franklin County VIRGINIA census-(I did not find them) but there is a John Silas Meeks b 2-1891 Franklin County and since there was a John S. in the listing you had-old enough to be the s/o your John S.?? email about this family is Sue Altice
Another researcher of this family is James
In 1860 Franklin County Census there is supposed to be a Meeks on Page 120
I did not search the 1850 Franklin County, Va. census
On the Franklin County Va. board I saw a researcher that says she does research on a name for $15.00 and .25 per copy if does not find-no charge her name was
Also on the Franklin County Va. site I saw a researcher trying to contact Meeks families
Sorry I did not find more, also searched and found nothing at all.
