Franklin Co. VA Coopers > Fire Destroys 200yr old

I thought this information, although tragic, may help those of you who are researching the Cooper Family that lived in Franklin County / Roanoke County VA. The news article, which I have copied and pasted the web address for, describes the fire that happened yesterday, that destroyed a 200yr old home in Cooper's Cove, which is on the Franklin County / Roanoke County line. The home belongs to a descendant of Arthur Cooper, who settled in this area in the 1700's. The article tells about the land, how long it has been in the family, and even the original deed to the property which was not destroyed and bares the seal of the King of England.

Also, there are 2 cemeterys in this area with Coopers buried in both. One is in Cooper's Cove, in Franklin County, and the other is in Mt. Pleasant, in Roanoke County. Each cemetery is only about 1 1/2 miles away from my home. I would be glad to go and record what information I can find on the Coopers that are buried there if anyone would like.

below is the web address for the news article about the fire.
