Richard,
I am now inclined to share your great doubts in spite of the information being given out on Ancestry.com and the LDS site. There is a lot of mis-information out there. I just don't see how Benjamin could be born in PA, married in NJ, somehow get to Franklin Co., VA, run off to KY, come back to VA, and end up passing away in PA and be the same Benjamin with a son named William who married Mary Sellers. Now, if we can find someone specializing in this Benjamin Brooks of Bucks Co., PA who can give any information of this Benjamin ever having been in Franklin County, then we may change our thinking. Please try to remember to let me know if you find out anything and likewise on my part.
