A John Jamison paid tax on 3 horses and 9 cattle in the Henry County, Virginia Personal Property List of 1782. Moved from Franklin County, Virginia to Madison Co., KY. Served at Maiden Springs Station, Pt. Pleasant WV 29 Aug-19 Oct 1774. In 1778 when John was 19, he married Elizabeth McWILLIAMS, in Henry Co. VA.

Capt. Thomas JAMISON. Born on 7 Nov 1732 in York Co. PA. Thomas died in Jefferson Co., Indiana on 6 Apr 1830; he was 97. Occupation: tobacca farmer, soldier. Served in the military. Signed the Albamarle Co. Declaration of Independence. Said to be a personal friend of Thomas Jefferson. He moved with his first wife Jane Dickey to Georgia. After his wife died, he brought the children back to Charlottesville to his brother Alexander. When he married Hannah they moved to the present Franklin County, VA near the Pigg River.1
A Thomas Jamison paid tax 2 slave, 5 horses, and 12 cattle in the Henry County, Virginia Personal Property List of 1782. In 1756 when Thomas was 23, he married Jane DICKEY, in Albermarle County, VA. Jane was born in 1742 in Loudoun Co., VA. and died in Jackson Co., Georgia in 1763 when she was 21.

Sir John JAMISON. Born in 1680 in Galway, Ireland. John died ? 1736; he was 56. Occupation: Captain of the Augusta County Militia. Was an Indian fighter and planter in York County PA, Orange Co. VA, and Augusta Co. VA. John married Margaret WHITE (Born in York, PA) and they had the following children:
