You may already have this info. My cousin Penny has done a lot of research so I'm borrowing from her research.

Peter Teel and Jemima Wray's (daughter of James Wray and Mary Tally)are my gggg-grand-parents.

The name got changed. Going back two more generations to Maria Katarina Kreischer and Hans Adams Diehl.

Child of Maria Kreischer and Hans Diehl is Johann Adam Diehl. He married Magdalena Burkhart.

Notes for Johann Adam Diehl: Johann Adam Diehl is on the 1785 Bedford Co., VA Personal Property Tax List (name shown as Adam Teal). Adam changed his surname from Diehl to Diel, then to Teel/Teal when he moved his family to Franklin Co., VA from York Co., PA. He also appears on the tax lists for Franklin Co., VA in 1787 through and including 1802. Adam Teel/Diehl moved his family to Wartrace Creek, Smith (now Jackson) County, TN, sometime after 1802 where he is dead and buried. Adam's son Peter Teel stayed behin in Franklin, Co., VA.

Now, for my cousin, Penny, who has helped me so much (I am just beginning) she needs information on Peter Teel and Jemima Wray grandson, Mankin Teel, Jr. b. 1844 who married Harriet V. Crouse on 1/2/1868 in Fayette Co., WV. Harriet V. Crouse is the road block at this time. Any help would be most appreciated.

Are you related to Jemina Wray and Peter Teel?

Pat
