Thanks so much for responding. If you could please send this information I would sincerely appreciate it.
All of my evidence shows my line as Mulatto and former slaves. My G-G-G-grandfather and my G-G-G-grandmother and my G-G-grandfather's(Guy Cannaday) two elder sisters are found in James (2) Cannaday's will. Charles and Mary Cannaday and daughers Katerine and Fanny are my ancestors. James2 is the son of James1 Cannaday and Elizabeth Raikes. Although it is family lore that he was also fathered by a Cannaday salveholder. In fact, one of the white Cannaday descendants states that many Cannaday slaves were fathered by the masters to increase the labor pool. Apparently they had a corn grinding mill. Franklin County was also the place where corn liquor was and sadly still is produced.
I am really trying to find out who the women were that produced these offspring. However, I have not been able to find his brother Richard's information either.
As you can tell, I have gotten lots of cooperation from the white Cannaday line and have been able to identify over 50 ancestors!
I am anxious to see what your findings might produce. Again, I am grateful.
