Alta, Here is what I have on the Cannadys.
William Cannady m. Nancy (unknown)
ch. William m. (unknown)
James m. Elizabeth Raikes
Nancy m. John Ward and James Allen
Misniah m. Samuel Underwood
Sarah m. John Radford
I don't have dates for any of these people. I know tne inquest for John Ward was held Jan. 21. 1793. William Cannady Sr. died aft. 1800 as there was a court record of William Jr buying the land of William Sr from the other siblings. My remark about I would be sorry to find out they were slave owners only meant that I don't approve of slavery.
Do you live close to Franklin Co.? Have you checked the Franklin Co Records? If you find out anything would you please let me know?
