Does anyone have any information on Joseph Mayo (b.either 1795 or 1806 in Fluvanna Co., VA) or Nancy W. Blackburn (b.1811 also in Fluvanna). They were married March 8th, 1831 in Fluvanna Co., VA. They had the following children all born in Virginia (I believe):
Mathew or Matthew Mayo b.1830
June? Mayo b.1833-not sure on this name the census was
difficult to read, it says this was a male child
Harriet Ann Mayo 1838
James Hagon Mayo 1841
Edward Mayo 1843
William Monroe Mayo b.Mar 1846 Botetourt Co., VA
Devilla Mayo 1848-again couldn't read the name well,
census says this was a female child
As I recall, this information came from the 1850 census for Rockbridge, VA.
Nancy and Joseph have been a huge brick wall for me for years. I have been unable to find anything on either of them for several years.
Any info, clues or hunches would be appreciated. :-)
