Joseph Cornelius Leesnitzer, born in Washington City, D.C., (1889-1942), and his wife Mollie A. Harrell Leesnitzer adopted a baby girl; in the 1930 Norfolk, Va. census she is listed as 3 years and 6 months old.

Descendants are attempting to locate any information about her biological parents.

Joseph C. Leesnitzer worked as the Chief Billing Clerk for the Norfolk & Western Railroad in Norfolk and was the son of William H. and Irene Hilleary Leesnitzer (both born in Washington City, D.C.). William H. Leesnitzer was the Yard Master for the Norfolk station.

My grandfather Esmond Wise Sadler (1894-1973) was the Yard Conductor for the Norfolk & Western Railroad Suffolk station.
