It is my belief that my Glovers worked for the Minors in what is now Arlington County, but was Fairfax/Alexandria/Alexandria District of Columbia in the 1790's. One of them, William Glover, probably fought with George Minor's brigade in the War of 1812. According to a DNA test I took, my Glovers probably came from the Galloway/Dumfries section of SW Scotland, probably migrating to Northern Ireland in the 17th c., then to Bucks County PA in America about 1700 and then down to what is now Frederick County VA by 1730 or so. Strangely enough, they went east to Fairfax about 1790, where one was named "Minor Glover," but returned to the Valley (Shenandoah County, then Rockingham) after the War of 1812.
Best to all, Denis Glover
