I just noticed another researcher has a Daniel McCarthy or McCarty MILLS married into his POWELL family. Either on VA Lee Co., and or on the MILLS surname here on genealogy.com message boards.
Another researcher has posted a query on rootsweb.com message boards under MILLS surname. Have you been working together to find MILLS family related?

just was browsing by. and happened to notice names, similarity to one another.
Not my MILLS family, could also be related to the MILLS family of MILLS Mountain, in either now WVA or once was just VA, very early settlers. Do not remember story, I read, how it came to be called "Mills Mountain". Has new name now, I believe.
