John Jenkins and Martha were my ancestors, too. In Amelia Gilreath's book, Martha is shown as Martha Garner and her ancestry given back to the Gosnolds and de Veres, which you can find elsewhere on the internet also.
Several people have questioned Martha's parentage and whether it can be proven she was Martha Garner. If so, she married more than once. As I understand, Amelia Gilreath descended from these same families through other lines, and she attempted to demonstrate in her book how the same families intermarried multiple times or were connected through multiple marriages. I have read that she was a past president of the National Genealogical Society.
