My ggg-grandfather was Thomas Alexander, married to Sarah. He had a son named Washington Alexander in about 1802 in Alexandria. He moved by about 1810-1815 to Shenandoah County. He was connected there with Pine Forge (iron) just north of New Market. There must be records of his marriage and the birth of Washington in the Alexandria area. Thomas also had a daughter, Dorcas, born 1798, perhaps also in Alexandria. jd-glover@attbi.com
