I am looking for info on Owen Williams and family from Falls Church, Fairfax Co. Owen was a member of Christ Church in Alexandria and later Falls Church Episcopal. He was a vestryman with Washington and did several surveying jobs for the Church and Truro Parish. In the codicil to his will, he (or more specifically his wife,) leaves land for the establishment of the capital which mentions the cornerstone for DC would be placed "near the place where [his] house now stands." I have found many records of him, but nothing as to where he is buried. His will specifically mentions that he wants an Episcopal burial (member of Falls Church at the time of death--1776). The Reverend at the time of his death was Townsend Dade. I went to the Church and couldn't find but one set of pre-1800 graves, but the Church records mention that in 1778 money was paid for restoration of the graveyard. Does anybody have ANY info about this?
