There are far too many titles on books related to Essex County, Virginia for me to list for you on this forum (my typing is too slow).

Simply type in Essex County Virginia in the search box and you will find page after page of listings including wills, births, marriage, etc. Jot down the titles of interest to you, including author, publisher, date and ISBN# and carry this list to your local library. There, (thru inter library loan) they will order the book most readily available, even if it is out of state. Most libraries will not release these books from their genealogy department, but one will be found someplace for you.
