I would appreciate some correspondece with someone familiar with the Hobbs Hole area of Essex Co VA during the mid 1700's.

I am interested in the following surnames:

ALLEN
BROOKS
BROWN
BUSH
BUTLER
CARTER
COLEMAN
CROXTON
DAY
EATON
FERGUSON
FLETCHER
FORREST
FOSTER
GARNETT
GILREATH (variably spelled)
GRAVES
GREEN
JONES
MAYFIELD
MEADOR
MOSELEY
PAGE
RECTOR
REYNOLDS
ROSSER
RUTHERFORD
VASS
WALLER

I'm particularly interested in early settlements--mills, for example; and, in trade ventures out of the area.

I would appreciate hints or suggestions for research and online sites.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
