Hi, Just now saw your post. I hope I'm not too late and you are still researching. I have Ms. Mcguire's book Uprooted and Transplanted. People would tell me to get this book, but I found nothing useful to my research. I have found out just recently that my ggrandmother's maiden name may have been Kittie Robinson. Are you familiar with that name. Where are you located? Looking forward to hearing from because as you said, there isn't a lot of information or researchers that I'm finding. Especially African American information. Virginia.
