Your help has been invaluable! We're just back from six days researching family in Virginia. Bought the Dinwiddie County book (which we wouldn't have known about without you) at the bookshop at the National Park Service HQ at the Petersburg National Battlefield. That bookshop is well-stocked with local history books as well as Civil War ones.

Found more information about "Kingston" at the Library of Virginia in Richmond, then yesterday morning we visited it. What a superb Georgian treasure! From the outside, the house looked well-maintained (aluminum siding "clapboards" don't detract) and the place is meticulously farmed. The owner, Dwayne Abernathy, was out, but we had a pleasant chat with his nephew and left a note explaining that Wm Henry Brodnax was my husband's gt-gt-g'father and promising to call him before our next trip.

Thank you again, ever so much. None of this would have been possible without your help.
