Greenway/Greenaway

Hi!
Looking for information on the Greenway/Greenaway from VA.

My G-G-G-G-G-Grandfather is Joseph Greenway. On the 1790 Census he appears in Morgan District, Burke County NC. As follows:
Joseph Greenaway,Sr.
2 males 16 years and upward including the head of household
1 male 16 years and under
3 females - including the head of household

Joseph Greenaway, Jr.
1 male 16 years and upward including head of family
1 female 16 years and upward including head of family

There is also a Joseph Greenaway listed in Rowan County in 1768, but for some reason this is being questioned. If this is our Joseph.

But we do know that he was there for sure in 1790.

We do know that Joseph Sr.'s one son that was 16 years and upward is William. (who is my connection).

Any information on Joseph, Joseph's father would be appreciated.

Also looking for the maiden name of William Greenway's wife. Her first name is Nancy and she also was from VA.

Thank you!

Cindy
