Between 1810 and 1813 an Edmond WILLIAMS provided a home for a young Scarborough PENTECOST. Both appear in the head tax records of Dinwiddie County. By 1820, according to the census records, it appears that Edmond has died and a "Caty or Catherine" was head of the household. It has been speculated that the widow of Francis PENTECOST, Catherine, married WILLIAMS following Francis PENTECOST's death about 1797, thus explaining Scarboroughs being there in 1813. Does anyone know anything about Edmond WILLIAMS? I understand that there is a WILLIAMS Cemetery somewhere near McKenny(sp). Does anyone know who I could contact to get permission to visit same and possibly record the information from the gravestones? I am currently working on Smith Grove UMC Cemetery and hope to have it completed for posting on rootsweb within 30 days. (it turned into a bigger project than I had imagined) Francis & Catherine PENTECOST's daughter, Nancy, married William LEWIS of Dinwiddie County and raised a large family. I need some help on this WILLIAMS lead.
